Guy Pearce stars as Leonard Shelby, a man who suffers from anterograde amnesia which results in short term memory loss and the inability to form new memories.
He is on the lookout for the people who attacked him and killed his wife.
He has built an intricate system of polaroid photographs and tatoos to track information he cannot remember.
The film’s non-linear narrative is presented as two different sequences interspersed during film, a series in black and white that is shown in chronological sequence and another sequence shown in reverse order.
The two sequences merge at the end of the film, producing one complete and cohesive narrative.
3. Dunkirk
Dunkirk depicts the evacuation that took place during World War II through the perspectives of the land, sea and air. It’s Nolan’s first war film released in 2017.
It portrays the visuals with little dialogue as Nolan sought to create the suspense from cinematography and music.

The Dark Knight is a superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan. He co-wrote the Screenplay with his brother Jonathan.
The movie is based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It is the sequel to Batman Begins. Christian Bale is playing the Batman and Heath Leadger plays the Joker.
Warner Bros. Pictures prioritized a sequel following the successful reinvention of the Batman film series with Batman Begins.
The film was shot with a budget of $185 million in Chicago, HongKong, and on sets in England.

Interstellar is an epic science-fiction film co-written, directed and produced by Christopher Nolan.
It is set in a distant future where humanity is struggling to survive, the film shows a group of astronauts who travel through a wormhole near Saturn in search of a new home for mankind.
The brothers Christopher and Jonathan Nolan wrote the screenplay. Nolan produced the interstellar with his wife Emma Thomas through their production company Syncopy and with Lynda Obst through Lynda Obst Productions.
7. Inception
Inception is a sci-fi action film written and directed by Christopher Nolan. He produced the film with his wife Emma Thomas.
The film comprises of Leonardo DiCaprio as a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets.
Inception was filmed in six countries, beginning in Tokyo in June and ending in Canada in November. Inception grossed over $828 million worldwide.
8. The Dark Knight Rises
The Dark Knight Rises was released in 2012 and was directed by Christopher Nolan and he co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David Goyer.
The Film is final installment in Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.
The film grossed over $1 billion worldwide making it the second film in the Batman Film Series to earn $ 1 billion, and the highest-grossing Batman film to date.
9. Tenet
Tenet is a sci-fi action thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Nolan produced the movie with his wife Emma Thomas. Nolan’s Syncopy colloaborated with Warner Bros. and his production company Syncopy for the film’s production and distribution.
The screenplay and the movie took several years to complete. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and the audience, who praised its ambition, direction, musical score, VFX, action sequences, and cast performances.
10. Insomnia
Insomnia was released in 2002, it is an American psychological crime thriller directed by Christopher Nolan and written by Hillary Seitz. It is a remake of 1997 Norwegian movie of the same name.
The movie follows two Los Angeles homicide detectives investigating a murder in Nightmute, Alaska.
He did not write this film or co-write it. It grossed over $ 113 million worldwide against a production budget of $46 million. It received critical praise, including for Pacino’s and William’s performances.
